Maspalomas Carnival | Gran Canaria | Canary Islands | Las Palmas

If you are in Gran Canaria during March, you simply cannot miss the Carnival in Maspalomas! Seen as the third most important carnival in the world, the event is a blur of colour, music and dance, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

The main procession has it all: Caravans, motorbikes, cars, camels and floats of all shapes and sizes. The costumes worn by the dancers and the moves they pull off in 18inch heels will leave you spellbound!

Beer and wine flows for seven days non-stop and you will find tapas bars on every corner for when you feel peckish.

The 2010 Carnival, to be held between 11 - 21 March will feature a theme of Eurovision.
