Playa de las Alcaravaneras is the second largest beach in La Palmas. It's quite impressive. It stretches for over 1000 metres and has fine golden sand. las Alcaravaneras is very popular with locals and stays busy all year round.
South of the beach there's the Varadero Sailling Club and to the north there's the super glamorous and chic Club Nautico - where you're bound to see some celebrity or millionaire.
If you want to go cycling or jogging a good place to go is the Avenida Maritima. It runs all the way along the beach from Vegueta to the peninsula of La Isleta.
