Palmitos Parque is located about 10kms from Maspalomas. It’s a subtropical paradise with over 100 palm trees and 15,000 plants. There are also more than 150 different species of bird here along with various other animals including monkeys, reptiles and even crocodiles!

You’ll pass through a completely dry and baron landscape before arriving at the park. It’s literally like an oasis in the desert.

It’s a great place to bring the kids. There are shows on every day, where you can see eagles and falcons performing spectacular stunts in free flight. One of the most popular shows is the parrot show. The kids love this one (actually, most adults do too!). The parrots get up to all kinds of nonsense in between performing some very bewildering tricks. It’s very funny.
