Golf is a year round pastime here on Gran Canaria, with a climate that allows 365 playing days a year! At the time of writing, there are 6 golf courses on the island; three in the north and three in the south. Most courses are recently built and are designed for demanding players.

The Real Club de Golf de La Palmas is the oldest course in Spain. It was built back in 1891 by English settlers. It is located just south of Pico de Bandama. The course has some excellent views to the nearby volcanic crater and is a par 71, 18 hole course with 2 putting greens. A top class course with many facilities including; club hire service, restaurant and wine cellar. They also have two tennis courts a horse riding area and even a swimming pool.

El Cortijo de Campo is a world-class course, and has been the chosen venue for numerous international championships over the years, including the Peugeot Oki Tour and the Professional Senior and Women's Spanish Championships.

The course is a 72 par, 18-hole course with fast greens and, with up to six tees per hole, and is absolutely stunning, with beautiful lakes surrounded by literally hundreds of ancient palm trees.

There is a golf school here where you can get expert advice and training. Other facilities include; practice course, chipping green, putting green and a practice bunker.
